Plans for next several weeks + summary of where you are

We decided to take a break from whole group meetings for the next couple weeks, and instead, I have scheduled individual meetings where we can talk over data collection methods, references, "arrival stories" + methods writing, anything else you want to talk about.

 

Below are my very brief (I got too interested in what you were saying) notes on "where you are" + what we might talk about.

working on focus/how to feature the eBook (what it will do + how it will fit into what has been don)

started working on references - made connection to ethnographic methods (set up by Clifford + Marcus = need to include more "history" as ethnography moves forward, check out Blank + Hakken

hope to start drafting proposal (see drafty overview of chapters blog-post => I'm hoping I will be able o use the writing on your blog to create the descriptions of your chapters that are required for the proposal).

I plan to read Ito et al (as an example of the kinds of ethographies that are "out there", to review Clifford and other "theorists" of ethnographic writing, as well as to check out the multimodal ethnographies available in digital journals such as enculturation + Kairos, and in other eBook series.
